Tracie & Jeff
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope you'll see that we are a loving, fun, adventurous and stable family. We know this is a hard choice you are facing and we would like to thank you for considering adoption and what that may look like for you and your child. We admire your courage and it humbles us. We cannot begin to understand the emotions you must be feeling right now, but we pray that you have the support you need to make the best decision for you and your baby. If you choose adoption and decide that we are the family you wish to parent your child, please know that we will do everything possible to give your child a happy, safe, open, loving and caring home for the rest of our lives. We want you to know how loved and prayed over you are. Not a day has gone by since we started this process that we haven't prayed for you. We will always honor you as an amazing mother whether that is through parenting or becoming a part of our family through adoption.
Where It All Began...
Tracie was the one who got away...
Tracie & Jeff in St. Croix in 2004
We met through mutual friends at a restaurant in December 2002. We dated off and on for three years and then decided to go our separate ways for 7 years. During those 7 years, we really didn't see each other or communicate at all. Then, in July 2012, we were both out with friends and ran into each other at a restaurant across the street from the original place where we met 10 years prior. We reconnected and Jeff persuaded Tracie to give him one more chance because she was the "one who got away." Jeff proposed (much to Tracie's complete surprise!) on New Year's Eve 2012 and were married in August 2013 surrounded by our friends and family. In November 2015, we found out that we were expecting a baby and Conner was born in June 2016.
There is a peace within her that has a calming effect on all those around her.
Tracie & Jeff in Washington visiting family
Jeff shares... Tracie is first and foremost a wonderful wife and mother. She gives of herself more than she ever expects in return. There is a peace within her that has a calming effect on all those around her. She loves crafting and scrapbooking and has most of her office converted to making everything from wreaths for every holiday, including Mardi Gras, to table decorations and custom cards. If you meet Tracie, it doesn't take long for her love of football and Louisiana State University (LSU) to shine through. It's entertaining and a show in itself to witness her nervously watching an LSU football game. When the nerves get the best of her, she will drop to her knees in front of the TV, run around the room giving high-5s after a touchdown, and singing LSU chants. You will always find her wearing purple and gold on game day. Trace loves traveling as well, but with our son, we mostly focus on visiting our families, including her family in Washington state. Tracie is always coming up with new adventures that we can do as a family. We have visited zoos, a life-size dinosaur replica company, high school football games, art festivals, farmers markets, museums, holiday fairs, and community events that she has found. She also loves cooking and baking and is always trying out new recipes to my benefit. Tracie loves to laugh and host family and friends in our home. She is down to earth, holds a Master's degree, works amazingly hard at her job, but never lets it affect our home life. I am truly blessed to have Tracie as my wife and the mother to our son.
Jeff has a good time no matter where he is or what he is doing.
Let's Go Cowboys!
Tracie shares... Jeff has endless amounts of energy and loves to be surrounded by friends and family. He is always up for a party or get together. Jeff is intelligent, quick-witted, loving, and supportive. Jeff loves to laugh and makes me laugh OFTEN. He has a good time no matter where he is, but also is one of the most considerate and compassionate people I know. I am luck y to have married my best friend and I could not have handpicked a better father for Conner. Jeff loves football and has converted me from being a New Orleans Saints fan to a Dallas Cowboys fan, which wasn't easy to do. He loves Fantasy Football and is the commissioner of one of his leagues. He even convinced me to join our family Fantasy Football league with his cousins (he is very influential and persuasive!). While Jeff enjoys his job, he believes in a healthy work-life balance because our family is so important. Jeff is quick to forgive and move on, which is good when it comes to football games. ;)
